“When Parker Met Guy†Page 10: Bicycle Built for Four
Sunday, July 19th, 2009Eisu and I will both be at the San Diego Comic-Con from Wednesday to Sunday, signing in the Blatant Comics booth (#1328)!
Along with the Marry Me graphic novel, we’ll also have the first volume of another Eisu comic, No Pink Ponies!  Plus Last Blood, a special Dreamless issue, and the first volume of +EV!  And don’t forget Yon Gumix: Meow, an anthology featuring work from Eisu and his pals!
But wait, there’s more!  Anyone who cosplays a character from any of the comics I write gets a free book of their choice!
We’ll also have a live webcam going in the booth at all times, so be sure to watch that and feel like you’re right there with me and Eisu as one of our very good friends. You can also follow me and Eisu on Twitter, which I’m sure we’ll be using a lot during the convention.
If you can’t make it to San Diego, oh well, click the pretty picture to buy the graphic novel:

FIRST!
*coughs sheepishly*
I’m pretty sure that’s illegal, Parker. Though you have to admire her strength.
July 19th, 2009 at 11:53 pm
That would be really, really hard to pedal. And balance.
July 20th, 2009 at 12:06 am
Hehe. I don’t know why, but of all Guy’s fever-induced rantings, I find “shotgun!” the funniest.
July 20th, 2009 at 12:22 am
This page is going to make me hurt myself, because i now need to find out how many people i can fit on a bike
on a side note, would useing bike pegs be cheating?
July 20th, 2009 at 1:03 am
Hmm…fourth panel, her sleeve is missing. that is, you can’t see where clothing ends and arm begins.
i can’t wait to find out why guy is being such a psycho.
July 20th, 2009 at 2:26 am
Damnit!
Thought I’d spotted a Transformers reference – but not quite.

Taly: Good eye, I’ll fix that in the colours
July 20th, 2009 at 10:00 am
That kid on the front seem quite happy.
July 20th, 2009 at 12:46 pm
Aw. That’s adorable. :3
And dangerous. But nevermind that. 8D
July 20th, 2009 at 2:04 pm
Jonah and Guy have awesome seats, even if Parker’s a lesbian. Donald, not so much.
July 20th, 2009 at 8:26 pm
He is so wacked out of his mind.
July 20th, 2009 at 9:09 pm
“Shotgun!” ROTFL…;)
July 20th, 2009 at 9:29 pm
One sunny day I was riding my bike
with four other people ‘cos thats what I like
July 21st, 2009 at 11:42 pm
Actually gonna be at Comic-Con this year. Maybe I’ll catch you guys there.
July 21st, 2009 at 11:49 pm
Roflcopter.
July 22nd, 2009 at 12:19 am
roflmoa i love marry me comics…i just wished it updated more
July 22nd, 2009 at 2:55 am
The bike design changes from panel 2 and 6. The bars going from the handle bars to the gears change where they connect with the back of the bike.
ps. love your comics.
July 22nd, 2009 at 10:53 am
I know this is so wrong in so many ways, especially with the confession-to-parker-mistaken-for-sailor-moonish page that just passed, but… They… look like a family?
July 22nd, 2009 at 10:55 am
Well, if Donald had black hair it would seem perfect.
Though that is so mindboggling wrong.
July 22nd, 2009 at 2:02 pm
she has thighs of steel
July 23rd, 2009 at 10:48 am
… *blink* *blink* …
July 23rd, 2009 at 11:05 am
Great job as always! Between this and no pink ponies you eat up a lot of my webcomic time. Thanks for doing such a great job with both comics!
July 23rd, 2009 at 1:19 pm
You see something like this every day in Naples, Italy! Except it would be a scooter, not a bike…
July 23rd, 2009 at 3:33 pm
Guy looks insanely happy in that last panel.
July 23rd, 2009 at 10:36 pm
Jonah (kid in the front) has an AWFUL seat. Think about how hard it would be to sit there with Parker’s legs moving up and down. (and think about how hard it would be for Parker to keep a kid on her lap while pedaling… even if he’s holding on to her.)
But, it is doable. I’ve done it once as a kid. (really!) But I fell down once or twice along the way… lol
July 23rd, 2009 at 11:42 pm
ahahahaa oh my… this has put a smile on my face, the first time in a while.
keep up the hilarity
and go parker!! what a hero hehe
July 24th, 2009 at 7:02 am
Boy, Parker’s got some strong legs there! Oh, this made me laugh so hard!!
July 24th, 2009 at 7:45 am
Guy has the strangest fever I’ve ever seen. He doesn’t seem week or ill at all, only delusional.
July 24th, 2009 at 7:45 am
Uh, “weak.”
July 27th, 2009 at 1:17 am
Hey guys, whattya know!
I bought both marry me and no pink ponies on the last day of con, finish em, and what do I find? Theyre still going strong!
yes I admit I havent been keeping up, (hence why I bought the books) but at least I know the story hasnt ended. Good to know I can get back in the loop.
July 27th, 2009 at 9:08 pm
hilarious! I laughed so loud I startled my cat. A fever, are you sure? whatever it is …funny it is definitely! I am jonesin for another page Bobby. you have me hooked on your writing dude.
July 28th, 2009 at 2:58 pm
I know what happens next ;]
July 28th, 2009 at 9:16 pm
*wonders what guy is seeing as he looks at the bike*
July 29th, 2009 at 11:19 am
@taly
he’s acting crazy because he has a fever
July 30th, 2009 at 4:01 am
you forgot to put this page on the dropbox again =)
August 2nd, 2009 at 6:08 am
Personally I was never able to get two people on a bike like that yet alone 4.
August 2nd, 2009 at 2:12 pm
Okay, resol, I gave this some time. You want to know why Jonah has an awesome seat? It has nothing to do with Parker’s legs bouncing him all over the place as she powers her way to the hospital . It has to do with what’s at eye level when he’s not looking where Parker’s going. Shoot, he’s almost grinning in that last panel. I wonder if Daisy’s given her boys “the talk.”
I’m surprised, though, Pander’s not commented on this page yet, has something happened to him?
August 2nd, 2009 at 2:19 pm
Pander died on Christmas Day.
August 3rd, 2009 at 3:41 pm
favorite page. ever. like ever ever.
August 4th, 2009 at 4:05 pm
Wow, so Pander’s been posting from beyond the grave all year? Dang it. Jewish zombies are the hardest to kill.
August 5th, 2009 at 6:25 am
Best bike ride ever.
August 6th, 2009 at 8:43 am
I don’t know, I’m starting to loose interest in this story since there are so few updates lately.
August 8th, 2009 at 6:22 pm
This story will never die! Never!!! Pander posting from beyond the grave is mere child’s play to the synergy of this comic. It will outlive us all!!!! BWAH-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!! *Evil laughter*
August 9th, 2009 at 3:54 am
wow, I read through all of the main story a few months ago, and came back to this, great stuff…
what is guy sick with anyway?
more please.
August 10th, 2009 at 2:03 am
Wait… does Parker still get paid??
Technically the kids ARE going to the hospital.
August 13th, 2009 at 8:07 am
“Pander died on Christmas Day.”
Was that supposed to be funny? Sick sort of joke.
August 14th, 2009 at 12:17 am
I love this comic and glad to see this prequel story arc just wish it updated more than once a month even though i check every day in the hopes of new pages
August 18th, 2009 at 8:03 am
Wow…. Guy is like bat shit insane….XD
August 27th, 2009 at 10:22 pm
About update schedules/lack thereof. I actually read/was taught/heard repeated several other times by various unconnected sources somewhere that irregular reinforcement is actually the best kind. You reinforce a given action in people (i.e., checking your comics ‘latest’ page) best by only sometimes rewarding them (i.e. with a new page) at random.
November 9th, 2009 at 1:37 pm
Thats adorable. This page was the first time I’ve actually laughed out loud at a webcomic in a long time.
November 18th, 2009 at 8:13 pm
never again will i underestimate the maximum passenger number of a bike.
why do i love jonah so much?? i dont know, hes just adorable, and i want his hair, and hes quiet and odd, and lazy, and seems smart, and ive always wanted a little brother!!!
Parker and Hallucinatory Guy continue to be awesome.
