  1. kitsunex Says:

woohoo! new page. the art looks kinda off though, like it was rushed.

  2. Gergle Says:

Hope you can go home happy, healthy, and soon.

    Yay Parker!

  3. Auzzie-Phoenix Says:

Wow that was fast… go parker!

  4. Richard Says:

I have really been enjoying this comic and am looking forward to the upcoming updates. However I have to say that I had to post because there were no comments yet. Wonder if this will still be first by the time I submit.

  5. Richard Says:

    Guess not :(

  6. Paxy Says:

    YAY PARKER!
and yay update! hope you are feeling better :)

  7. rammy Says:

gha in the top 10 for comments this time.. yay parker

  8. Dark Chili Says:

Parker rode the giraffe didn’t she?

  9. Joseph Says:

Nice touch with the “****, that lady is going to fall out of this helo” expressions of the crew in panel four. Even though Parker is bracing herself with one arm, the likely unannounced maneuver would no doubt startle the crew. :)

  10. Mandykun Says:

Awesome!! This is the first time I comment, but I’ve been reading for a long time, I love this comic!!

OO I think the art looks fine…

Btw, I want to marry parker!! xD!

  11. chumash99 Says:

“That’s because I’m awesome.” You certainly are, my dear. :) BTW, I wonder if Stasia’s dad is still in Alaska… ;)

  12. CB Says:

“Because I’m awesome” should have been the title for the comic today. Why? Because Parker completely is.

  13. tess Says:

Thus, Parker’s “Awesome” status was confirmed. ^_^

  14. annekat Says:

    parker wins!
although i fear what might happen if she drives more

  15. Chadling Says:

Can’t help but laugh at the arms that are trying to hold onto Parker when she’s leaning out of the copter.

I can see about the slightly rushed art–mostly just looking at some of the long-distance depictions in the last panel, but the wind effect was great.

  16. Anon Says:

Take your time with the comics, a comic a day is nutty. Great to see the comic back in action, hope you’ll be too soon.

  17. Ethan Says:

Guy’s and Parker’s hair both look awesome in the second to last panel. Loving the comic, get well soon.

  18. Mithras Says:

Guy looks like Eddie Brock from Spectacular Spider-man in the second-to-last panel.

He doesn’t look like Guy, anyways.

  19. Eisu Says:

Anon: We can’t, we’re on a tight deadline that requires us to actually finish the comic now so we have to probably rush most of it.

Mithras: thanks, the jabs at my consistency problem is always a welcome comment

  20. LazerWulf Says:

Yay! I’m super-excited, yet super-sad, that the story is finally coming to an end. It’s been a great ride! Thanks to both of you!

P.S. Does this mean that Eisu will be able to start updating NPP soon? I’ve really been missing that.

  21. Eisu Says:

“P.S. Does this mean that Eisu will be able to start updating NPP soon? I’ve really been missing that.”

Yes, it does mean that as I’ll have some free time to do NPP

  22. Caspar Says:

Anny one know if WOWIO will be available in the Netherlands some time soon?

  23. Allison Says:

I hope you feel better soon, ut after having gone through the same thing, I am guessing that won’t happen. Gall bladder removal really sucks. Your throat is killing you, your abdomen is killing you, and everything else just hurts. I hope they gave you good painkillers!!!

  24. Bobby Crosby Says:

They fucked it all up — possibly partially collapsed my lung and all kinds of horrible shit. Should have gotten Eisu 84 already, but had some more annoying/painful crap happen tonight. Gotta somehow finish 84 right now, hopefully will within a couple hours. Having extremely bad hospital experience. So far only one person I’ve met here has had a working brain and/or heart.

  25. Pizzasoup Says:

That…that sounds horrendous. Hopefully you get some intelligent care sometime soon. The “good painkillers” comment is seconded.

  26. Bobby Crosby Says:

Morphine doesn’t even work on me. I’m screwed. And they can never find my veins for the IV — poke me a million times. And so on and so forth.

  27. Rubio Says:

Man, a new comic every day for eleven days straight? That kicks awesome.

Sounds tough, Bobby. Hope you’ll get better.

  28. Jenn Says:

Bobby — Hope you’ll get some extra time to rest soon, don’t stress too much over that deadline, I’m sure everything will turn out fine. Feel Better and try not to kill anyone! Hospital’s do suck: Hardcore.

Eisu — The rushed art still looks terrific. The consistency of it looks fine, also. Keep up the good work!!

  29. Jerry Says:

Ick. Sounds like when I went to the hospital. Who ever created the idea that nurses give out TLC is a lying son of a bitch. Then again, SoCal nurses are used to dealing with drug addicts and ass holes… Good luck.

  30. Bartimaeus Says:

    Nice page. Good luck!!

  31. Aura Says:

    GET WELL SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!
and loveez the comic been reading it for ages

  32. wes Says:

deff cool so did parker catch a ride on the wild life or no?. also um i can seem to find the vote button >< did u move it some were?

  33. Cheesus Says:

    Aaah, yes. Parker is awesome!

  34. Norman728 Says:

Parker Rocks even more! (Exacatly what was she holding on to?, Is that why the arms were grabbing her?)

Bobby: I really do hope your recovery goes well.

Eisu: Inconsistancies are fine as long as you don’t go into the surreal. (You do awesome work on all of your work.)

PS… Was Stasia in the room the whole time or did she walk in later?

  35. JKPS613 Says:

HOORAY for Parker!!! She’s a hero!

  36. Charlie Says:

An impending deadline looms on the horizon. Then, just when they thought they could smell success, Eisu and Bobby’s world has been torn apart by Bobby’s emergency gallbladder surgery. After the doctors botch the operation, Bobby is confined for the next several days to the hospital; but he boldly predicts an unprecidented rate of 1 webcomic per day. Can he finish in time to get everything to the publisher and have the comic at the convention, or will the poor children of Nome, Alaska, die of diptheria? Tune in next time for another exciting episode of Marry Me Comments Section.

  37. Mattz Says:

    “That’s because I’m awesome.”

xD That sounds exactly like something she’d say.

    >_> I’ve said that a couple of times myself

  38. TheOutlaw Says:

Get well soon! And thanks for all your hard work.

  39. Mattz Says:

    oh no D:

I just realized Parker’s going to be driving again…

  40. Demon! Says:

Good to see you up and running again, Bobby. I hope you’ll be fine :)

Prediction: Stasia will prefer to go with Guy, and Parker will accompany Janny on the chopper. Things will develop in the car (wink, wink).

Of course, I might be completely wrong about this.

  41. SaySay Says:

Bobby, For the hospital thing, if you’re still there, ask to speak to the Charge Nurse. Let her/him know of the problems that you’ve been having, and make sure to talk to the Patient Advocacy people too. They can get information to other people to make sure that patient care is improved. If you’ve left, call and still talk to the Patient Advocacy people.

  42. NovaStrike Says:

Bobby, I love the comic, but I really hope you focus on recovering more than the comic. Ir would be lovely if you got it to press on time, especially since it’s a nice story, but I don’t know about the other fans, when I say I’ll feel better about things when you’re doing better and out of the hospital.

THEN keep up the excellent work. :) Glad to see you fighting though– the new page is great!

    Get well soon!

  43. John B Says:

“So far only one person I’ve met here has had a working brain and/or heart.” – That’s no hospital, that’s Oz!

  44. Omega Scythe Says:

Hospitals suck for excitement, that’s for sure. I should know: I volunteer in one. =P

Hope you get well soon! I’m glad to see being hospitalized doesn’t affect your writing abilities. Keep up the great work ’till the end!

  45. Jon Pander Says:

    From last page:
invulove: “well, you know, i didn’t finish my list
so you actually were on there =P

oops, that was supposed to be that jon pander is behind micah..
    or maybe they’re just tied
    i can’t decide!
    *head explodes*”
Good, because I’m very self conscious about not being on girls’ lists of ‘favorite people’. You had me worried there for a moment.

Micah, scoot over and let me get in front of you on the list – we don’t want her head exploding.

“and even though my mom had to carry me for an extra month *i was comfy!! and lazy!!*, she has no original ideas.. like Bobby and Eisu =P
*hugs Jon Pander* i still love you, no worries.. ”
You know, depending on how much you love me and how cute you are, Alicia’s very open minded and she has this offer open and…….

Alicia: “It’s okay Jon, you’re in my list. ^o^”
    Rowr.

    Bobby: Sue.
Sue, sue, then sue some more.
Oh and sue. Did I mention sue?
Wait never mind… wait until they can’t kill you.
    ….
    Then sue.

  46. Jon Pander Says:

Eisu: “Mithras: thanks, the jabs at my consistency problem is always a welcome comment”
That serious and you like it? Or do you mean you don’t like it? Because if you’re serious, I have a funny thing to say about the second to last comment.
If you mean you don’t like it – Eisu, you rock… you are the epitome of rock… and I love the art on both No Pink Ponies and the art here. I probably can’t draw half as well as you can on your worst day. Plus you’re higher than I am on invulove’s list, so you’re a webcomic rock star essentially.

Bobby Crosby Says: “They fucked it all up — possibly partially collapsed my lung and all kinds of horrible shit.”
    Sue.

“Should have gotten Eisu 84 already, but had some more annoying/painful crap happen tonight. Gotta somehow finish 84 right now, hopefully will within a couple hours.”
Let me talk to them with my crowbar. I have some choice things to say to them for making your life this difficult, plus them causing the comic to be late.
    Then sue.

“Having extremely bad hospital experience. So far only one person I’ve met here has had a working brain and/or heart.”
Too bad you’re not at the hospital at which my brother’s a surgeon. They have both working brains -and- working hearts.
Hope you feel better and get out of that terrible hospital soon.
    P.S. Sue.

“Morphine doesn’t even work on me. I’m screwed. And they can never find my veins for the IV — poke me a million times. And so on and so forth.”
Actually this is serious… no joke – I have the same problem. High pain threshold. But also it wind up being very hard to get the anesthetics to work on me. When I was in the hospital they gave me 3 shots of demerol and it still didn’t put me to sleep. As for the vein thing… well they just sound stupid now.

I think you know what else I was going to say here about what you should do to that hospital.

Norman728: “Parker Rocks even more! (Exacatly what was she holding on to?, Is that why the arms were grabbing her?)”
It looks to me like she’s holding onto the edge of the helicopter door with one hand and hanging out. And two hands are trying to grab the crazy lady before she falls out. Seems very parker-ish.

P.S. Tell Bobby to sue that hospital of morons after he gets out.

  47. NadiaZeta Says:

YEAH PARKER ^o^ GOOD WORK ^o^ wiii

  48. Jen Says:

Bobby: That’s terrible that you’re feeling so bad :( Don’t even think about the comic until you get better! Stress doesn’t help in these situations!

  49. Zippy Says:

Janny looks like a weeble in that last panel. Weebles wobble but they don’t fall down! ^_^. I love it.

  50. Alicia Says:

“and even though my mom had to carry me for an extra month *i was comfy!! and lazy!!*, she has no original ideas.. like Bobby and Eisu =P
*hugs Jon Pander* i still love you, no worries.. ”
You know, depending on how much you love me and how cute you are, Alicia’s very open minded and she has this offer open and…….

    LOL…open-minded…or just proud bisexual? tehehee

Get better soon, Bobby! You’ve got so many people pulling for you!!

And don’t high pain thresholds kinda suck sometimes…well, that and getting sick when people try to give you higher dose pain medicine…yeah…*shifty eyes*

I agree with Jon. Wait until you’re out of the hospital so that they can’t kill you (though it sounds like they’re trying already) and then sue them til they bleed dry. That or just sue them til they bleed and then pass out the blood to various vampires. Yea, feast!

So many people with trouble veins…you’re starting to scare me off of studying Phlebotomy, Bobby! JK…I promise I do have a heart, so maybe that helps things…

  51. Alicia Says:

PS–people keep telling you to forget the comic for awhile, but I’m thinking that’s probably like the one thing distracting you from pain and cooky doctors…hm…that’s just my opinion though, do whatever you can and need to do!!

  52. Alicia Says:

PS–*gasp* The money from sueing them could fund the movie!!

  53. Akhil Says:

I’m not sure if someone has mentioned this but I thought it was funny when Parker is in the helicopter giving the peace sign, leaning dangerously out of the opening, and right above there are a pair of hands attempting to grab her in…or at least that’s what I thought he/she was trying to do.

    xD

  54. McLaughlin Says:

I love the little details put into this comic. Like this one in panel four, with parker leaning out of the helicopter and the hands about to pull her back in. lol

  55. Leduck Says:

    Bobby–

Feel better. You’re in my thoughts.

  56. Katy Says:

Damn, Bobby – I’m so sorry to hear you are going through this. How the f*** did they manage to (maybe) partially collapse a lung while removing a gall bladder? I mean, come ON!! I have a VERY high opiate tolerance, so they put me on a self-dosage thing, where I could press a button every 5 minutes – I can never remember the name of the stuff, though – not demerol, not morphine … Dilaudid, that’s it! Also there is methadone. Ask if either of those might work. I know about the difficulty finding veins – last summer I was in the hospital twice for diverticulitis and the 2nd time they kept me like 4 days without food OR water OR even a saline drip before one of the nurses noticed and tried to put an IV in me – of course by that time I was SO dehydrated it was a real pain to put that IV in … oh, lordy. now all my veins are screwed up and even getting blood from me is a chore. I hate that. I sure hope some of my suggestions will help :-(

  57. invulove Says:

    Alicia says:
“and even though my mom had to carry me for an extra month *i was comfy!! and lazy!!*, she has no original ideas.. like Bobby and Eisu =P
*hugs Jon Pander* i still love you, no worries.. ”
You know, depending on how much you love me and how cute you are, Alicia’s very open minded and she has this offer open and…….

    LOL…open-minded…or just proud bisexual? tehehee”

    proud bisexuals unite! *waves flag*

  58. DayofGlory Says:

Wow, you’re still in the hospital? No wonder you’re going a bit (maybe more) crazy. If I could I’d send you some butterfingers (unless you’re allergic to peanut butter) But seriously, whatever you do, don’t push yourself too much. And eat more vegetables. Anyway, I hope you get better soon.

  59. Sara Says:

    hey bobby crosby!
heal up and feel better or else!

nice job boys, despite the bobby sitting in a hospital. ace!

  60. chumash99 Says:

Don’t you dare die on me, Bobby; not before you finish “Marry Me”, anyway! :)

  61. Laafje Says:

    Oink! Parker IS awesome!

Well, get well soon mr. Bobby and don’t rush yourself *too* much, even for deadlines.. I mean.. your life and wellness are more important than deadlines ne?

  62. Bill M. Says:

Wow… new comic, that’s good. Bobby’s hospital situation, that’s bad. Still, awesome story, and this is the first time I remember a side profile of Parker, she’s got a nice rack, that’s probably one reason Guy’s been her friend for so long (just because he has no chance with her is no reason not to at least appreciate the form). And if Stasia goes with Janny, there’ll be no making out on the way back, that is bad, very bad.

Bobby, I’ll be praying for you to get better.

  63. Paxy Says:

    Awww Bobby I’m so sorry,
I was in and out of the hospital for three years, and one time there was a bet going around the ER to see which nurse could get an IV into me. So I understand.
    Heal fast!

  64. Scott Says:

Hope you feel better soon. Love the book by the way.

  65. Jon Pander Says:

Alicia, one of my two favorite bisexual girls said: “LOL…open-minded…or just proud bisexual? tehehee”
God I love the comments section of this webcomic.
I don’t get suggestive offers like this on the Order of the Stick’s or ElfOnlyInn’s forums.

Bless you, open minded bisexual girls. Talk Jenn into it also will you? Her boyfriend doesn’t have to know.

McLaughlin Says: “I love the little details put into this comic. Like this one in panel four, with parker leaning out of the helicopter and the hands about to pull her back in. lol”
Or push her out because she keeps talking about monkeys and giraffes. :)

invulove Says: ““and even though my mom had to carry me for an extra month *i was comfy!! and lazy!!*, she has no original ideas.. like Bobby and Eisu =P

*waves flag*”
*wipes a tear of joy from his eye* That’s just beautiful.

Bobby – I swear if these two follow through on this stuff, I’ll send YOU $20.
And you’ll be notably mentioned in the Dear Penthouse,…. letter that I write.

chumash99 Says: “Don’t you dare die on me, Bobby; not before you finish “Marry Me”, anyway! ”
It’s good that you have your priorities in order.

  66. Alex Says:

i love how shes looking out from the helicopter and the guys are all like “enter u damned crazy!”

  67. Alex Says:

Dude, Parker just got even more awesome. It’s now over 9000.

  68. Esoclectica Says:

Hey, i totally understand about the gall bladder thing. I was in the army for Desert Storm in 91 and went on sick call for my gall bladder. The doc looked at me and said “have you heard about that new way of doing survery for this?” I answered “Yes. I think it’s called laproscopic surgery.” His reply was “This is the Army nd we don’t do that.” Then he put me on a table and gutted me like a fish. And I have the thick skin/rolling veins problems too, most doctors and many nurses cannot hit my veins for beans.

I really enjoy this comic, and I really hope that you get well soon.

  69. Sarah Says:

feel better very soon! My mom and gramma have both had their gall bladders removed, tho neither got a collapsed lung out of it, tho they nicked my gramma’s bowels during a different surgery.
I have the same problem with my veins, they were once called “wiggly” veins, they roll away as they put the needle in and makes it so they have to move it around to find it again >_< Not fun.
And if morphine isn’t working why aren’t they giving you anything stronger then…. especially for a collapsed lung! I would definitely talk to someone about getting adequate pain relief, but regardless, I hope you recover very, very soon.

  70. Kerla Says:

Great work, I don’t think the pages look bad, I like it.

Although I know its important to finish it for the convention and so, I do think one’s health is priority, take care of yourself please. At least take a good brake after this to recover completely

  71. Jenocyde Says:

    THANK YOU BOBBY!!

Again, a great comic. I didn’t mind waiting, it was worth it. And this just seals it that Parker is my favorite character. Why? Because she’s awesome!

And the art doesn’t look “off”. It looks just fine. So NYEH Kitsunex! :-P

Also, I hope you get well soon. Keep us updated on your status! *ehugs*

  72. ModdyPride Says:

You had to have your gall bladder remomved, Bobby? Wow. That seriously blows. My mom and one of my best friends had to have theirs taken out. Get well soon man.

Oh, and the page is great! Parker is Kickin! And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the art. I wish I was as consistant as you are Eisu. Oh, and I can’t wait for a NPP update.

But don’t push yourselves too much, both of you.

  73. Gaz Says:

    Yeah!
GO PARKER!!! Save the day grrl!
    ^_^
I bet she actually rode the Giraffe to victory.
    Parker is THAT awesome.

Great work on the page guys, keep ‘em comin.

  74. Michelle Says:

Hi Bobby. It’s been a while since I’ve commented (over at Last Blood, actually), and I just wanted to send you well wishes. If there’s anything I can do to help, drop me a line.

  75. Kuroro Says:

    Hope you feel better Bobby!
Thank you for the updates, Eisu and Bobby both. :)

  76. Andrew Says:

    PARKER CAN DO ANYTHING!!!!! *cheers*

  77. Calia Says:

Ahh… pnuemothorax. What a wonderful thing. I feel your pain, man, collapsed lungs are extremely awful. All that pressure on your chest, every time you try and breath in…
Oh, and if you can swallow pills, ask for percocet. I’d imagine they’d be able to give you a fairly high dosage of it, and that shit works like a dream by making you not give a damn :D I dunno how it would affect your ability to write the remainder of the pages though; it always made me really sleepy.

  78. E-13 Says:

dude, i think the “Parker’s finally made it!” kinda matches the mood of “Bobby finally posted it!”
    Hope you feel better soon!

  79. invulove Says:

jon pander, you would only give Bobby 20 smackaroos?
he deserves more for being able to inspire the conversation currently being held in his comic’s comment section
    =P silly..

  80. Norman Says:

    Norman728 Says:

“PS… Was Stasia in the room the whole time or did she walk in later?”

Yeah, I think she was there since p.79, sitting on the other chair Denny brought in.

Bobby: Good luck keeping to your schedule. I hope your recovery goes better than it has been.

  81. Oddideron Says:

Guy’s translation in the first panel was hilarious. I had to wipe the tears out of my eyes so I could read the rest of the comic.

  82. Alicia Says:

Okay, I seriously love not only this comic, but everyone who comments on it.

Seriously. Now onto read the two pages I somehow missed being added…why…oh yeah, school… *shifty eyes*

  83. SSand Says:

    Gah…

One thing I find wrong with this page… Mostly becasue I have DONE soemthing similar to what Parker does…

You don’t just hang by an arm to a helo, the downforce from the main rotor will plant you in the ground faster than you can open your mouth to scream.

Sure they look liek doing that in all the Hollywood moies, but I had to get some experience in the real helo egress (that’s jumping from a perfectly working helicopter) for military training… You need the rope to stop you before you hit the ground.

  84. SSand Says:

Oh, my previous comment wasnt mean to slam the art… Just that I shiver every time I see people do that sort of sillyness… Doing a rope-drop wasn’t fun. Sure it was exciting, but it was the kind of exciting where I didn’t drink anything for a day before when I knew we had helo-mobility exercises.

  85. taly Says:

Love the art on this one, especially where Guy says, “Yes! Parker!”

    beautiful :)
