Yay new update.
May 6th, 2008 at 3:48 pm
Ooh, lots of talk about delivering babies…Is this foreshadowing? Wow, Guy is getting more extraordinary every page xD.
May 6th, 2008 at 3:48 pm
*coughfirstcough*
I can hear her in my head doing the voices. Is that bad?
Also, Parker’s face is a bit stretchy-looking at the end, but that could just be ’cause of the hands.
Awesome comic, love it, can’t wait for more, blah blah random new reader crap.
Ironic that he said he didn’t wanna do it again and… he’s doing it again.
May 6th, 2008 at 3:49 pm
Bah, darn, second post instead.
At least she won’t have to worry about labor much if/when she gets pregnant.
May 6th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
Nice “Gone With the Wind” reference
So, I wonder what happened on the way towards Med school. His knowledge of the birth process is certainly greater than the average person, even for someone who has delivered two of his sister’s children.
May 6th, 2008 at 3:56 pm
Parker… she’s just love. XD <3
May 6th, 2008 at 3:56 pm
You guys are awesome. Thanks for the comic!
May 6th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
I love what Guy’s sister said: “Sure, it breaks down sometimes, but what doesn’t?” Wise words! What I like most about “Marry Me” is the dialogue. Keep up the great work and keep the creative juices flowing!
May 6th, 2008 at 4:24 pm
Love IT!
I also love the frequent updates!
<3333
May 6th, 2008 at 4:32 pm
“I don’t know nothin about birthin no babies…”
Cute, cute… Is Guy channelling Butterfly McQueen here?
May 6th, 2008 at 4:45 pm
Guy, you’re my freakin’ hero. And I mean that you are a hero freak. But heavens, we need more of you. I wanna be a hero freak. My beginning’s good: I’m a nerd!
&8-) (Guy’s emo!)
May 6th, 2008 at 5:03 pm
All these updates make my mouth water! The expressions in this page are priceless! Loving the way this is going! Can’t wait for the next! Good work guys!
May 6th, 2008 at 5:13 pm
Wait, isn’t guy an only child? I’m sure he said that…
May 6th, 2008 at 5:18 pm
Ana is soooooooo fallen in love with guy that I can’t think of her let him go forever, if I’m reading correctly the last panel
I love this story, it’s wonderful!
May 6th, 2008 at 5:29 pm
Woot! I love the artwork in this for some reason. o.o
May 6th, 2008 at 5:40 pm
You better not do a “When Stasia stops reading, Guy has already delivered the baby” thingy, huh?
May 6th, 2008 at 5:43 pm
“Wait, isn’t guy an only child? I’m sure he said that…”
He did actually. Page 40.

Is Marry Me’s first retcon coming up?
Very enjoyable comic, by the way.
May 6th, 2008 at 5:46 pm
Er… wait… ignore that comment. It’s Parker’s sister. ‘hem. I should learn to read…
May 6th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
Or… not. I don’t know my right from my left this morning…

Rockphed Says:

Yeah, he said that right there. Busted Bobby
May 6th, 2008 at 6:19 pm
actually if my sister was nuts like daisy seems to be.. i’d never admit having her either… wait.. my sister is that nuts…and i don’t acknowledge her usually
May 6th, 2008 at 7:00 pm
well originally Bobby had it say his aunt’s babies making them his nephews… and of course that wasn’t accurate so the page came right back off… I’m thinking he really wanted them to call them Uncle Guy….
May 6th, 2008 at 7:08 pm
Hmmm, should I start baseless speculation, or just assume that Mr Crosby forgot about Guy’s previous statement. Hmmmm…Decisions, decisions.
Okay, Baseless Speculation:
Daisy is actually his cousin, but when his father and aunt died in a freak accident when guy was 5, his mother married her Brother-in-law. Because his Aunt was 8 years older than his father, and she got started with the having kids at 18 whereas her brother waited until he was 25, Guys cousin was 20 at the time, giving her plenty of time to “adopt” Guy as her “brother” before she started having kids. Guy being 5 at the time had an only a vague idea of how to introduce her, so decided on “Sister” because it took less work.
May 6th, 2008 at 7:23 pm
Lol maybe a Gone With the Wind reference? I love this comic!
May 6th, 2008 at 8:47 pm
heh, wow, even i forgotten about that “only child” thing… yeah, originally, Daisy was supposed to be Guy’s aunt, but since that kinda kills the “Uncle Guy” thing, Bobby changed her to Guy’s sister… but now that contradicts the only child line… we’ll probably get it fixed soon by making Daisy guy’s cousin or something
May 6th, 2008 at 8:53 pm
The way Guy said it in that past strip: “Um, I’m an only child.” makes it sound like he was perhaps covering up the existance of his crazy sister. One of my mom’s cousins is kinda loony and was purposely left out of the death notice for her father so she wouldn’t come back and start doing crazy things again, and they tend not to talk about her, so something like this doesn’t seem too unfathomable.
Also there’s the possibility that he just wanted to avoid telling stories about his sister because of the birthing stories, in order to be more humble. Him marrying Stasia is an awkward situation as it is, and I doubt he wanted to sound like he was lording it over people. “Hi my name is Guy and OH HEY DID YOU HEAR I DELIVERED BABIES ON A FERRIS WHEEL WHEN I WAS JUST A KID??”
May 6th, 2008 at 9:32 pm
Guy sounds like he was an adorable child
May 6th, 2008 at 9:36 pm
Never want to do that again he says, and their is Guy, bringing a third life into the world.
Irony rules.
May 6th, 2008 at 9:51 pm
meh, yeah, “uncle” is a fairly generic term… I use it on some non-blood relations, even
I love the page, though! Parker… Parker’s crazy, man. Will we ever get to meet Crazy Daisy, though??
May 6th, 2008 at 10:07 pm
PARKER!
May 6th, 2008 at 10:08 pm
Anyone else read the line “I didn’t know nothing ’bout birthing babies” and read it as the line from Gone With the Wind? Cause I did. And it made me smile.
May 6th, 2008 at 10:54 pm
I’ve a cousin that is about 20 years younger than me and everyone is always forgetting (including her parents, especially my aunt) and calling her my niece. It doesn’t happen often that anyone calls me her aunt though.
I started reading this comic last night and am enjoying it… one of those days when I’m sad I read fairly fast, wish I hadn’t caught up until you were done!
May 6th, 2008 at 11:32 pm
Totally forgot about the only child line. Not gonna make any more changes to this page ever, but probably gonna remove/change the only child line from Page 40 for the graphic novel.
May 6th, 2008 at 11:56 pm
Great Strip just awesome art and story thanks for the update!
May 7th, 2008 at 12:10 am
definatly love it, great work as always, and what was the movie was stasia in before about?
May 7th, 2008 at 12:13 am
Several movies probably, but hasn’t starred in one in maybe five years, I’m thinking.
May 7th, 2008 at 12:14 am
Recognized the Gone With the Wind line right away. Good one.
May 7th, 2008 at 3:09 am
Eisu writes: originally, Daisy was supposed to be Guy’s aunt, but since that kinda kills the “Uncle Guy†thing, Bobby changed her to Guy’s sister
Bobby writes: Totally forgot about the only child line.
Having it be Parker’s older sister at least makes the “Uncle” part make sense since he would otherwise not be related them them. If it was his aunt, yeah, they’d be cousins, but the age difference could justify uncle and not make it so odd. If it is his sister, he would be their uncle.
But for it to be his relative? And have him be nine and ten? It’s presumably strange enough for someone that age (even if it is Oklahoma) to deal with birthing. But to have it be your own aunt or sister? That’s just … well, it feels like it borders on wrong somehow. There’s some places brothers or nephews shouldn’t be poking and prodding.
Plus, there’s something nice somehow about Guy being an only child. And if he delivered Parker’s nephews, it would provided added reasons why Guy and Parker would be such good friends.
Bobby writes: Not gonna make any more changes to this page ever, but probably gonna remove/change the only child line from Page 40 for the graphic novel.
If the above arguments make sense, please reconsider. (= If not, oh well. But I certainly would feel odd delivering my sister’s or aunt’s baby. At least the sister of a friend seems less awkward.
Please tell me I’m not alone in this view?
May 7th, 2008 at 4:22 am
I think Rosebud’s idea is a good one, but of course we are not trying to tell you how to write your story.
May 7th, 2008 at 4:36 am
I see no problem whatsoever with helping to deliver a relative’s baby in an emergency. Also keep in mind that it’s a crazy comedy.
“And if he delivered Parker’s nephews, it would provided added reasons why Guy and Parker would be such good friends.”
Seems very strange for him to be riding on a ferris wheel so often with his friend’s much older sister. Almost has to be a relative for it to make much sense. And Page 37 revealed that Guy and Parker met in high school, years after the ferris wheel incidents. It would require a total re-write of Page 37 basically to make the change you want.
“If the above arguments make sense, please reconsider.”
They don’t make sense, sorry.

Totally loving this entire concept, THANK YOU for thinking outside the box of online comic applications.
May 7th, 2008 at 5:26 am
if he delivered them a year apart why is he holding 2 bundled up babies??
May 7th, 2008 at 5:32 am
Read the last page’s comments. That’s been answered many times.
May 7th, 2008 at 6:27 am
Mandi, one was a set of twins, if memory serves.
Also, Rosebud… are you telling me if you’re trapped somewhere with a pregnant relative who goes into labor, you’re NOT going to help because “eew! icky! we’re related?”
Some relative you’d be.
May 7th, 2008 at 6:48 am
Awesome, more comics to read!
As to the “only child” line, if she was no longer alive, or locked up in an institution without his knowing she’s still alive, I get the feeling that Guy would rather say, “um, I’m an… only child” than “I had a sister, but she’s committed/dead now” to my new bride that I’d only just met and married hours ago, but that’s just this fan’s take.
One more thing, I love the changes in Stasia’s expression in this comic, you can feel the change in her tone with certain frames, especially the last one where you can tell she’s just about to start laughing, and Parker’s crossover into Sore Thumbs is starting to make sense. If Parker is out of Oklahoma with Guy’s car, maybe her taking him to the Stasia concert was her twisted way of making up for her big flub-up.
May 7th, 2008 at 7:00 am
actually E13 it never says in the comics that one was a set of twins. the paper says “second baby” and unless they published a paper between the first twin being born and the second that wouldn’t be the headline, even if they did the paper shows two babies so wouldn’t fit
May 7th, 2008 at 7:25 am
Or to solve that whole ‘who’s sister is it with babies thing’.. perhaps step sister? Technically he’d still be an only child, but has a sister. And if he’s 10 when she’s having babies, she’s more than likely moved out, which blurs the sister line into more of an aunt/cousin line, but Uncle Guy just sounds so cute either way. XD
Stasiaaa~ I adore Eisu’s art, and have since I first discovered No Pink Ponies ages ago. <3 Love the story, too.
May 7th, 2008 at 8:02 am
I love Parker, she just kills me. That is so weird that she did it twice in a row! Poor Guy, him and babies and all… but I wonder why he became a guidance counselor…
May 7th, 2008 at 8:12 am
I still don’t get what’s so crazy about his sister. Is she crazy for going to the fair every year or is there something else we’re not getting yet? If it’s the county fair thing, I don’t think that’s crazy at all. It’s not her fault that the timing of the county fair and her pregnancies coincide, it’s just coincidence.
May 7th, 2008 at 9:20 am
“one was a set of twins, if memory serves.”
Nope, no set of twins, the picture is just set up by the newspaper to make an interesting or cute picture, that’s all
May 7th, 2008 at 9:34 am
@ bugleboy624 I’m sure it’s something we haven’t seen yet. It’s highly possible that his sister does crazy things that we haven’t seen and would cause Parker to call her crazy. And like Bobby said, if Parker thinks she’s crazy then she’s probably insane.
May 7th, 2008 at 9:45 am
Oh man, all I could think of was Gone with the Wind. “But Miss Scarlet, I don’t know nothin’ bout birthin’ no babies!” XD
May 7th, 2008 at 10:15 am
- Garitheous writes: we are not trying to tell you how to write your story
You mean we’re not in a massive backseat filled with annoying drivers? =)
- E13 Says: if you’re trapped somewhere with a pregnant relative
- who goes into labor, you’re NOT going to help
A time travel romantic film “Kate and Leopold” (Meg Ryan played the female lead, unfortunately somewhat on autopilot) had two neighbor characters who were former lovers. The female ends up going back in time (to the 19th century) … and becoming his great grandmother. In the scene where he and his friend were trying to get her to the time portal in time (and thus back in time), his friend pointed out the ick factor of the modern male character sleeping with his great grandmother. They ended up cutting that part of scene.
- Bobby writes: And Page 37 revealed that Guy and Parker
- met in high school
Foo. =( Well, if he has some farm or 4H experience, I guess that would at least make sense. And since it is OK, I guess that’s plausible.
Since there is a four year difference between me and by older brother, for high school, I was, in some respects, like an only child since I was the only one at home. If his sister is ten or so years older, at least he could have *felt* like an only child while growing up.
May 7th, 2008 at 11:37 am
If the babies he delivered are his nephews and he was with Parker’s sister, that would mean he has a brother… actually that wouldn’t be so strange then if he was with Parker’s sister when she had her babies. But considering he didn’t know Parker until highschool and he would have been impossible not to have met before the incident makes this whole commnet moot.
Don’t mind me, just doing a little thinking. Nice comic though, Eisu and Bobby.
May 7th, 2008 at 11:40 am
I can her her in my head, and she sounds like one of my friends…
May 7th, 2008 at 11:52 am
I actually knew someone who was ~4 years older than his adopted sister. He at times claimed to be an only child, though I don’t think he has for several years, and I only know of one time where he made that claim.
May 7th, 2008 at 12:04 pm
Azzura made the suggestion I was going to – that she be a step-sister or half-sister; he’d be the “only child” of “his” parents, thus technically correct in his statement, while still technically having a sister, of sorts. It would also sort of help explain the difference in ages. A thought, anyway. *shrug*
May 7th, 2008 at 12:48 pm
I’m kind of with the whole “cover up” on the crazy sister thing, but of course you COULD have kept it as Aunt considering Uncle is a fairly general term. I call my Dad’s 2 best friends Uncle, and my Uncle Dave doesn’t even look like family AT ALL, so having kids years younger calling him Uncle Guy wouldn’t be awkward at all. It would have been a little awkward for him, that’s all.
May 7th, 2008 at 1:44 pm
I call my great aunts and uncles, just Uncle or Aunt.
These days, people have two families with the kids barely overlapping. One of my friends is 27, has a 3 20 something year old brothers, and then a 3 year and 2 year old twin siblings too. Those second marriages make for interesting family combinations.
May 7th, 2008 at 2:19 pm
Wow, that’s hilarious! But speaking as a woman with a kid, that poor lady in labor probably wants them to SHUT-UP! >_<
May 7th, 2008 at 2:21 pm
MAJOR Kudos to Guy. I mean…seriously. Gorgeous, heroic, sweet, kinda nerdy..he’s got it all!!
Sink your teeth into him and never let go, Stasia!!
May 7th, 2008 at 3:10 pm
Hey Bobby/Eisu?
Can I marry Guy?
He’ll totally have to duke it out with Dr. Styles from Trauma Center because thats my other pixely husband.. but I’m sure Guy could kick his nancy ass. :}

Mandi Says: “if he delivered them a year apart why is he holding 2 bundled up babies??”
Asked and answered already. Time Travel. So obvious.
May 7th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
“I don’t know nothin’ ’bout birthin’ babies…” Good lord.
nice update though, answerd all my questions about why the woman was up on the ferris wheel in the first place (Crazy Daisy indeed) and made Parker even cuter than ever. ^_^
May 7th, 2008 at 4:10 pm
Pamela: Sink your teeth into him and never let go, Stasia!!
I thought Parker was the Vampire Marathoner. =)
Everywhere you look, nothing big pointy teeth…
As for the rest and step-sister versus aunt versus eighth cousin four generations removed, the wonderful thing about magic is that it is not explained. Sometimes it’s nice just to say “relative” and no go into specifics. =)
May 7th, 2008 at 4:22 pm
Does anyone else feel like this babies/twins sister/only child etc. thing is starting to sound a lot like the whole “Why is Math ripping the chains, he’s not a vampire anymore?†scenario?
May 7th, 2008 at 4:40 pm
Newspaper’s stage photos. This is obvious.
Also, whether or not someone helps out in a birth is entirely dependent on that person. Just because YOU wouldn’t, doesn’t mean nobody else will. And being blood relatives may seem strange to some, while for others it’s totally natural. For example, I was delivered by my maternal grandfather, as was my sister. My mom obviously had no problem with this.
Also, silly romantic comedy. Things don’t have to make sense. That the ferris wheel BROKE DOWN both times she was pregnant… THAT’S far more unlikely than Guy helping deliver the baby, but nobody cares about THAT.
This just all goes to prove what I’ve always known: people are very irrational.
May 7th, 2008 at 4:55 pm
My mom had a uncle younger than her.
May 7th, 2008 at 5:51 pm
i still say if my sister was crazy enough to have parker point it out i’d dissavow having her as a reletive myself.. i’ve done it with my own crazy sister
May 7th, 2008 at 6:26 pm
Okay. My disbelief is no longer suspended.
It almost looks like you’re just adding on random personality traits or experiences to Guy for plot reasons. I can’t believe, even in fiction, that Guy delivered TWO children by the same woman atop a FERRIS WHEEL. Especially considering that this woman is apparently a “nutty older sibling” throwaway character where we have to take in on faith that she is indeed, that “crazy” and his parents would allow her her to do that to Guy AGAIN. (If I were their mother, I would be FURIOUS with her for putting my son through that, and I’m not even sure I would classify that as crazy as much as stupid.)
Essentially, I suppose, the last few pages have me no longer believing in Guy as a character, since his personality seems disturbingly level and oddly calculated for someone who apparently has no ambitions to do anything other than high school guidance counseling. I have difficulty believing in the honesty and integrity that is supposed to be present in Guy and notably lacking in Anna’s other boyfriends, when he’s obviously had to become subtle, cunning and a little bit manipulative to deal with the “crazy” people he’s surrounded with. (remember how he pretend-slept so he could hear Staisa’ diabolical “tests”?)
We know little about Guys character, because he’s touted as “Perfect.” But he CAN’T be, especially considering his background. I found him more believable as an only child, since siblings generate rivalry and resentment as much as love, which were characteristics I though Guy was supposed to lack (resentment and whatnot.) which if he DOES have a sibling, and therefore rivalry and resentment, it points to those feelings of resentment being somewhat repressed, which will also cause problems in his relationship with the unstable Staisa, who he is supposed to be “perfect” for.
But hey. Whatever.
May 7th, 2008 at 6:33 pm
OMG So much ST-Parker luv….
May 7th, 2008 at 6:35 pm
“I found him more believable as an only child, since siblings generate rivalry and resentment as much as love, which were characteristics I though Guy was supposed to lack (resentment and whatnot.)”
His sister is obviously much older than him. I think she’s about 50 now. You seem to like to put people into little boxes based on their life situation and your brain refuses to accept abnormality. Normal is boring. Watch a documentary.
May 7th, 2008 at 9:34 pm
“You seem to like to put people into little boxes based on their life situation and your brain refuses to accept abnormality. Normal is boring. Watch a documentary.”
You failed to specify what KIND of documentary. I’m sure “Meerkat Manor” or the like would be quite unhelpful in this situation.
Moreover, if you want to play the “I am more educated then you” game, then I shall honorably return fire, and answer your docu-drama shrapnel with a volley of college Psych 101 textbooks.
let the LULZ war begin.
May 7th, 2008 at 9:47 pm
Okay, let the fighting… cease and desist. Suspend disbelief once more, and just read the comic. In all honesty, it is a good comic. It is also a bit on the wacky side, so no point trying to dissasemble the bloody thing.
I would like to remind everyone, as I have when discussing other webcomics in the past. You aren’t paying for this. This is something free, and good. Better than 99% of the crap on the cable you might pay for.
Before you retort angrily, remember, you enjoyed the comic before. Enjoy it now.
May 8th, 2008 at 1:09 am
XD OMG, I love this web-comic! I started reading it from page one yesterday (Because I have the internet handicap known as dial-up, and web-comics load a lot quicker than YouTube and streaming music T-T) and this is just awesome! When this becomes a movie, I’ll try and drag people to see it with me! XD Ooo! Plan it so that it shows in the summer, and I can see it at the drive-ins here! (Drive-Ins rock, BTW ^^)
Keep it up guys! ^^
May 8th, 2008 at 1:34 am
Resenting a sibling as a child doesn’t mean you’ll feel that way as an adult.
And how are we supposed to know about Guy’s background when it hasn’t been put in the story yet? I was under the impression that Ana and Guy were attempting to get to know each other here.
Besides, wouldn’t being “cunning” and “a little bit manipulative” make him better able to deal with Ana’s dad? Seriously, if there’s a quality I look for in a partner it’s the ability to survive my family.
May 8th, 2008 at 3:57 am
“Moreover, if you want to play the ‘I am more educated then you’ game”
Where the hell did that come from?
“You failed to specify what KIND of documentary.”
Obviously no need to specify a kind of documentary — anything real suffices, where you don’t need to suspend your disbelief, no matter how crazy it might be. Obviously tons of things happen all the time in real life that are a lot crazier than anything in this story, but you seem to require proof, hence the documentary.
“college Psych 101 textbooks.”
Ah, that’s your problem.
May 8th, 2008 at 7:37 am
I’ll admit, the two babies on the ferris wheel, little bit zany. But, really, both times that she went into labor, it could have been a short, and unexpected labor after a pregnancy with little to no complications. Even a day or two early wouldn’t be too odd, and if it’s her tradition to ride the damn ferris wheel every year, then she’s gonna. Besides, can’t you see this big sister character laughing as she and her good luck charm, Guy, get on the ferris wheel about how lightning doesn’t strike twice… Yes, odd. Also, funny. Funny wins. Weird stuff happens to people.
Still an awesome comic. Still enjoying the hell out of it. Bobby, Eisu, thanks for sharing it!
May 8th, 2008 at 9:41 am
I’ve come up with a decent explination why he COULD have said he’s an only child, since Bobby already said she’s about 50 at this point in the story, she’s probably just a half sister and was moved out and on her own about the time he was born. I have an aunt who had already done that about the time my mother was born, then my other aunt was born and my mother refers to herself as the middle child even though she had 2 older sisters and one younger, but she was raised as the middle child because only 3 were in the house when she was growing up. Given that explination, you could say Guy was raised as a middle child, just my explination that could work for you Bobby, just a minor word change on that page if you care enough.
May 8th, 2008 at 1:06 pm
I like the first three panels a lot, where Stasia’s just kinda like, “WTF?”
May 8th, 2008 at 1:42 pm
I don’t think that this calls for *too* much suspension of disbelief. I mean, carnival rides especially in a small town county fair break/stall/whatever pretty frequently. And there are plllllllenty of women who do dumber things than ride a ferris wheel while pregnant. Heck, driving in a car is more dangerous…
I think the extra zanyness of it happening twice actually works here. It makes it an actually crazy fun story to go with Guy’s skill, rather than some sort of toned-down offhand non-story that would just feel like a lame excuse for a skill that he really has no reason to have.
….
And being an intelligent (or “level and calculated”?) human being doesn’t mean one has to have crazy ambitions. Is High School Guidance counselor really such a poor thing to aspire to anyways? I know plenty of truly wonderful a/o intelligent a/o genuine people who have done far ‘less’ with their lives by the age of 25…
May 8th, 2008 at 2:19 pm
Hey Bobby.
I love you.

^^^—–Isn’t that name supposed to read “imyourlove”? hehehe
Anyway…love the story Bobby. Don’t let the naysayers give you a hard time. (Not that you ever do…) It’s a work in progress, and quite solid for being so.
I’m with the other folks that really dig Stasia’s expressions here. they really convey her whole thought process. Way to go, Eisu!
May 8th, 2008 at 4:51 pm
What Parker said: “You know, you should really do another movie. The way you read, it’s so natural.”
What I think she Parker was going to say: “You should call it Marry Me. I know this guy, he could make a webcomic about it as well. ”
hehe
May 8th, 2008 at 4:57 pm
Eisu said: “yeah, originally, Daisy was supposed to be Guy’s aunt, but since that kinda kills the “Uncle Guy†thing, Bobby changed her to Guy’s sister… but now that contradicts the only child line… we’ll probably get it fixed soon by making Daisy guy’s cousin or something”
Actually the son/daughter of your cousin isn’t your nephew/niece. It’s your first cousin, once removed.
Shouldn’t be a big deal though – a lot of people call other people ‘uncle’ when they aren’t really uncles, or even when they arent really related. “Thanks Mister!” “Call me Uncle Pete… everybody does.” A term of familiarity.

I have about forty aunts and uncles that I have no blood relation to. I have cousins who I thought were more uncles at first, simply because they were already married and had kids by the time I was ten. Family situations are many and varied, honestly, caring about the details in THIS is like caring that the spaceships are too close together in a sci-fi flick.

Hey. This is brilliant :]
I was wondering, why isn’t Lastblood getting updated?
But in any case, this comic ownz too
Love it.

In the original version Parker specifically said they were his “nephews,” so a change was required, which will be up shortly (Page 40). And now I’m told it’s up –
http://www.marrymemovie.com/main/2007/08/12/page-40-call-me-ana/
Also, just to give you a little extra info, originally I planned on Parker telling Stasia that she was actually on the ferris wheel while it broke down for the second delivery, but she didn’t meet Guy until years later in high school. I also planned on her telling Stasia that Daisy always wears this amazing, indescribable hat. Both got cut for space — gotta finish this all by Page 94 basically. It all has to be done by about June 22, so we can print it in time for the San Diego Comic-Con. As a fact there will be about 19 more pages in the next six weeks.
Gigi, people love pretending to be me, so if it’s not from a 626 area code, it’s not me!
Also, I finally sent Eisu the Page 76 script about 11 hours ago. I’ve been lazy and also busy messing with my new camcorder, the Canon HG10. I don’t think I’ve mentioned this on this site, but I’m a huge Los Angeles Dodgers fan and go to almost every game, and here’s some footage I took of some crazy buddies of mine a couple nights ago –

Ty: Variety of reasons for no “Last Blood” — will probably be at least two pages per month for the next while, though.

*coughninetiethcough*
I find myself wondering whether Stasia really reads naturally or if Parker’s still starstruck. Maybe it’s both.
May 8th, 2008 at 8:40 pm
Couldn’t it just be half-sisters. That would explain the age difference too.
May 8th, 2008 at 8:44 pm
Everyone needs to shut up about that topic. It’s done. Any more such comments will result in bans. And jeez, he wouldn’t say he’s an only child if he’s so close to his half-sister that he’s constantly riding on ferris wheels with her and delivering her babies.

Jon Pander: Actually the son/daughter of your cousin isn’t your nephew/niece. It’s your first cousin, once removed.
In Chinese and Filipino cultures, they are. I should know. My cousin has 2 kids and I call them my nephews.
May 8th, 2008 at 10:28 pm
Eh… I call my cousin’s kids my nephew and neice… it’s simpler that saying “My cousin’s kids” or “my cousins once removed” and we have a sort of unclish relationship anyways.
And that’s the important part.

I had a busy coupla months and am only just now catching up with Marry Me; excellent work! I’m an Eisu fan; the facial expressions here are adorable.
It’s almost consolation for No Pink Ponies’ current stasis. If not consolation, at least it explains it; you kids have been busy! Carry on; I’ll keep checking in.

Bryn: “Family situations are many and varied, honestly, caring about the details in THIS is like caring that the spaceships are too close together in a sci-fi flick.”
But… the spaceships ARE too close together! The warp nacelles generating the warp bubble would CLEARLY be affected by another ship’s warp bubble – especially if it’s a romulan ship, what with their miniature black hole’s gravity causing a shift in the local spacetime! Geez! Read a book why doncha!
ps, I have no idea what I just said.
Bobby: “Gigi, people love pretending to be me, so if it’s not from a 626 area code, it’s not me!”
Man Bobby… I was just about to call and get my mackin’ on and you done gone and ruined my chances.
Tom: “I find myself wondering whether Stasia really reads naturally or if Parker’s still starstruck. ”
My vote on your question is ‘Yes’
Onna: “In Chinese and Filipino cultures, they are. I should know. My cousin has 2 kids and I call them my nephews.”
You should hear how I’m my own grandpa…. but I don’t feel like singing any song which Tom Arnold has sung in a movie as dumb as ‘The Stupids’.
Gotcha. Missed the part where Guy became Chinese/Filipino
Iron: “I call my cousin’s kids my nephew and neice… it’s simpler that saying “My cousin’s kids†or “my cousins once removed†and we have a sort of unclish relationship anyways.”
I tend to call my cousin’s kids ‘Hey you, get me a soda and I’ll give you a nickel.’ They usually respond, and it works on all 3 of them. Little kids are cheap to bribe.

Your Collaboration shows great dynamics in the work, but don’t let Eisu completely discard NPP.

All hail the power of retconning! *grins*

I just found this comic, and I have to say that I love it! I really like the fact that these are good people. You can like them, respect them. Sometimes…well, sometimes you get tired of anti-heroes, or angst-driven drama, or comedies where the main characters are people you cannot respect. Sometimes you want to see the good guys be good guys, go through adventures with a light heart, and come out on top. Massive kudos to you!
May 9th, 2008 at 9:22 am
I’m not going to complain about the retconning (if you think *this* is bad, try reading the “Naruto” manga…all 399 chapters of it, at about 17 pages each, and counting). But seriously, if Guy’s “sister” is old enough to have kids of her own (early 20s, maybe?), maybe Guy sees her as more like a mom than a sis. I think making Daisy his aunt would be better.
Anyway, I love this comic, and I hope the movie gets made soon! Keep up the good work!

I had a dream last night about this comic. What happened in the dream is the other lady that was pregnant ALSO goes into labor. Just a dream is all.
May 9th, 2008 at 9:43 am
Just realized.
Parkers hair looks like Tai from digimon. :B -pushes up glasses-
May 9th, 2008 at 6:41 pm
BTW, Parker is still totally starstruck. I love Parker. ‘Nuff said.
May 9th, 2008 at 9:30 pm
This’ll probably be in the far distant future but now we’re going to have to meet Daisy and the kids some day.
May 9th, 2008 at 10:17 pm
I like reading new comics. I hate catching up to the current story. It’s like, damn, what happens next? WHAT HAPPENS NEXT??
So, of course, I’ll be bookmarking this.
May 10th, 2008 at 5:44 am
Wow, people are dumb… Anyway, great job as always guys.
May 10th, 2008 at 8:01 am
Ah what xD Two pages per month? why not once a weak :\

Heyyyy, little tiny nanoscopic suggestion: After the whole Africa thing (or a while after that) we discover that Guy and Stasia…ARN’T REALLY MARRIED. There are tears, hugs, etc.
Then Stasia must go to her new concert, and, in the middleof a song, she sees a sign… a very familiar sign…

Wait, what was retconned now? The Archive of Page 40 is obviously the same as it always has been
May 10th, 2008 at 8:21 pm
This has truely been one of the best webcomics I’ve read, my only complaint is that I reached the end of the archives while still awake enough to stand

Nah, her tour’s over. She goes to Guy’s school with a sign.

Although it’s cliche -ish I want to hear that they are married for a change, it would be a nice twist and see a real wedding on top of that. ^_^
my fav character: Guy, he’s gorgeous and handsome and Janny, still preggers lol ^_^
