Guess who sees you daddy does.. first post? OMg wow i’m more ocd than everyone.

  2. Joseph Says:

How could you not miss your daughter’s eye staring right at you on the side of a bus?

  3. Skreyola Says:

Great line! “I’m pretty sure he does.”
And 8 a.m. sounds like rush hour, hehehe.

  4. Bob Hu Says:

Shows how much Stasia knows about the ‘real world’ I suppose.

  5. Bobby Crosby Says:

Well, she’s simply complaining about the traffic. I don’t think it actually shows her knowledge of the real world, because she actually knows a lot and has experienced a lot. She’s just whining. It’s not like “Why is there so much traffic?” It’s like, “Damn, I hate this traffic — why does our timing have to be so bad to run into this, argh!”

  6. lizziness Says:

I’m pretty sure we’ve all had retarded conversations like this. Or at least I have..

  7. Lydia Says:

This is about to turn into Speed. Make the jump, make the jump! Impressive perspective on the last panel, anyway.

  8. Lexxi Says:

    panel 5 and 6 X3
    yay! another great page!

  9. Bartimaeus Says:

    Hooray! Here we goooooo!

The Good, the Bad, and the Crazy — Coming Soon to a web browser near you!

  10. Namagem Says:

Hah, brilliant. I just started reading this tonight. Just brilliant.

The art and the story mesh perfectly. I’m going to download the e-book, and all e-books that follow.

    You have yourself another fan.

  11. Miroku2235 Says:

    Busted.

  12. Shaeen Says:

    Another brilliant page ;)
Love the casualty of Stasia’s sister’s “I’m pretty sure he does” line :D
(Do we actually have a name for her sister? o.O)

  13. Bobby Crosby Says:

Her name’s Janny — been said in the comic at least three times, I think.

  14. Lei Says:

    whahah xD
WHY did they decide to go to the airport =D ?!
They knew her father was coming from that direction..
they shouldve taken a detour at least. (tho pops wouldve probably taken a chopper once he found out about their absence in the hotel).
    Great comic xD Love it!

  15. Professor Pastry Says:

Haha, Janny’s “are you kidding me” expressions are priceless, most notably in panel 5. You know what she’s going to say in panel 6 before she even says it by her face alone. Well done in writing Bobby, and illustrating Eisu!

  16. Shaeen Says:

Nevermind, I found it in Page 12…it’s Janny ;)

  17. ScottM Says:

Ana’s teeth look funny in panel 1, but other than that I love this comic.

  18. Elisajah Says:

Cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute!! I love this so much.

  19. Alex Says:

    Cool bus…

  20. Wintrycream Says:

Wow… this is a great page. I love panel 2… “He’s gonna tell me what to do, and I might not want to do it.”

  21. Katie Says:

Hah! I think it’s really brilliant that she plasters herself on the glass and then says, “Do you think he sees us?”
Your writing is really great, Bobby. And Eisu is a fantastic artist.

I just found this comic a few days back and haven’t commented yet, so here I go!

  22. Jess Hughes Says:

OMG, Scott Dewit posted this URL on his site, and this is great! The character designs are so wonderful (and yummy)!!

  23. Anonymous Says:

You know, I think it’s kinda crappy that Marry Me has to be #1 on Wowio. I mean, look at the biggest competitor: Sore Thumbs. Sore Thumbs has 15 comics available on Wowio, whereas Marry Me only has one comic. So if one person downloads all of Sore Thumbs comics, that means we need to get fifteen people to download Marry Me. This’s a very cheesy set-up you’ve got going here.

  24. Elliot Kane Says:

“I’m pretty sure he does.” Love it! :D

  25. Andrechi Says:

The bus has an eye! freaky! lol

  26. Bobby Crosby Says:

“You know, I think it’s kinda crappy that Marry Me has to be #1 on Wowio.”

Has to be? It only “has to be” if you want the apparently incredible incentive of the comic actually being updated every MWF for a month. Everyone like you is constantly complaining about how we don’t update MWF consistently and now we give you a chance for that to happen and you SOMEHOW complain about that too??? Kill yourself.

“I mean, look at the biggest competitor: Sore Thumbs. Sore Thumbs has 15 comics available on WOWIO, whereas Marry Me only has one comic.”

Yes, and in MM’s first six days, it was #1 twice, and ST was #1 only once.

    “This’s a very cheesy set-up you’ve got going here.”

Please try to explain that somehow. There’s nothing conceivably cheesy or bad about this in any way. Once again, it’s simply a nice free treat for the readers of the comic and also a very possible way to get more updates. Don’t forget that WOWIO makes us money, and if MM was #1 more than any other comic in September, that would mean we just made a nice amount of money and would be a great incentive to do more comics. It all makes perfect sense, you’re just too much of a stupid jerk to realize it and you love anonymously complaining about everything you possibly can for no reason.

  27. Nic Says:

Wow. Never thought I’d get past the intro and the first strip (”romantic comedy”?), but I just burned through the archives until they abruptly stopped here. Had other things to do, but I was hooked.

    *sigh*

  28. Jay Says:

So im guessing it doesnt stop after 80 strips then? Anyway loving the comic man it rocks. If your trying to sell the script worst case scenerio would be to get a agent since ppl buy from ppl they know in the movies games cgi animation buss its small so they could help. I also heard from my friend it takes about 2 yrs to get started in production phase due to legal stuff. Anyway if ure interested reserve tickets for next yrs segragphh you would be suprised the number of hollywood directors and animators that hit that up. It like a meca for movies.;P

  29. Bobby Crosby Says:

“So im guessing it doesnt stop after 80 strips then?”

There’s no changes there. Still planning on somewhere around 80, but might end up being a little more.

  30. Pat Says:

oh my god, I seriously love this comic so much. between the art and the amazing storyline… like seriously I can’t even describe how much I love this. you have no idea…

  31. Ben Says:

This comic is really, I only just read it all today and I’m hooked, can’t wait for the next one!

  32. Pamela Says:

*looks at Guy, then hums funeral march*

The funny part here is that Poor Guy has no idea what he’s in for. *shakes head* That poor soul…LOL

Anyways, keep up the great work!!

  33. Joe Says:

Bobby and Eisu are some serious gamblers. It takes me about 10 seconds to read a page, and maybe another minute to go back and look at what they’re doing frame-by-frame with plot and art. I bet it takes them longer than that to make a page. I’d be surprised if it takes less than the time from Monday to Wednesday!

  34. Justin Says:

yeah this comic rockz, i hope you get more updates cuz i watch everyday for a new one!

  35. Gamefunatic Says:

yup, i’m using an alias. anyway, i really like comic 41…panel 3.
yeah, i found this a few days back and i want to know the update times…
so far i think they are once a week, on fridays

  36. Bobby Crosby Says:

No set times — they just go up whenever we’re done with ‘em.

  37. ♥UGIN Says:

LOL! Great page guys. Geez, I hope those windows are at least tinted….

I say Stasia uses Janny as a human shield and bartering chip seeing as he’s got a grandbaby due.

  38. Fox Person Says:

…Lols. But seriously, could you PLEASE put down the ‘NEW PAGE EVERY M-W-F’…? I just don’t like false advertising. >.

  39. Bobby Crosby Says:

As I’ve said before a thousand times, I’ll never change that, unless I change it to something like “NOW DAILY.” Feel free to do a Google search for the reasons. Will take two seconds.

  40. Jay Says:

“There’s no changes there. Still planning on somewhere around 80, but might end up being a little more.”

Might I suggest around 8 to 10 vols to flesh out the story. its gonna be a while before you can get its movie rights like i menationed before and with the fan base at probably over 10k by october why stop now. :D Keeps getting better and better.

“As I’ve said before a thousand times, I’ll never change that, unless I change it to something like “NOW DAILY.” Feel free to do a Google search for the reasons. Will take two seconds.”

Im getting the filling that not alot of ppl understand the rules of how online comics are made. thus the angry posts.

People it takes 5 hrs (gove or take more) to make a comic in photoshop or illustrator not mention scripting plus drawing its not false ads; shit happens get over it alot of online comics do this. Some stuff like maybe the artist getting sick or the script not reaching on time plus hoildays and b/s like that. Im really not expecting one on monday due to labor day theres no rule that says they cant post whenever they fill like it.mwf is just a genral rule of thumb its not flase ads. We’re gettting a every good deal dont worry be happy.:D

  41. Bobby Crosby Says:

“its gonna be a while before you can get its movie rights like i menationed before”

There’s a 95% chance that less than a week from now I’ll be announcing a deal involving the sale of movie rights for “Last Blood” to a major production company, and it currently only has 72 pages online.

“and with the fan base at probably over 10k by october why stop now.”

Over 15,000 people visited this site on Wednesday. There are many reasons for stopping. It’s not guaranteed that it will stop, though, but it probably will. Eisu is a very busy man, and if he is available to keep working with me and still wants to, I’d probably rather spend our time making another graphic novel (I have MANY in the works) instead of continuing on with this, especially since it’s planned for just one story, one movie, very little chance of sequels. If the site gets extremely popular, like over 50,000 readers maybe, the comic would probably continue no matter what, but it’s doubtful that could happen, since we update so infrequently now. Anyway, we’ll see what happens.

  42. choco Says:

lmao. first real smile iv had all day. thanks for a[nother] fantastic page.
how could you think anyone would miss that!her name is on the mode of transport lol

  43. cash Says:

anyone else thought that stasia has grown a mustache in the first panel? :D

  44. Jay Says:

    Congrats.

  45. Psycho_Ivan Says:

Very nice… I only found this comic a few days ago. (Thank you Scott Dewitt. IE The writer of Fanboys comics.) I read it all up in one sitting, I will definetly be checking in on this regularly.

  46. dragonmage Says:

hahaha tonight on the 6 o’clock news: angry dad attacks pop star on highway! That’d be funny, but I have a feeling that he’d wait until he was actually in private with his daughter before really drawing attention to himself, he seems like that kinda of a guy, but I could be wrong. Still, I’m rather scared of him myself >.>

  47. Skreyola Says:

She isn’t stupid. She’s, as people used to say, in a state.
I’m enjoying the comic and getting annoyed with people complaining about the updates.

  48. gsm2 Says:

Bus? What bus??? Theres not bus here…
Its that or the overused jedi mind powers trick now…

  49. Pam Says:

So how come I, living in England, cannot download from Wowio…I mean do we have lumpy internet in England or something?

  50. Jay Says:

“So how come I, living in England, cannot download from Wowio…I mean do we have lumpy internet in England or something?”

Its just the set up no big they might add the rest of the world later right now its only set up for a certain region ure nets fine. or so i heard havent tryed yet myself.

  51. Bobby Crosby Says:

It’s because their sponsors are targeted towards Americans.

  52. Inso Says:

Did any of you notice that she is in the stasia TOUR BUS, of course her father is going to look who’s inside and of course he is going to see his daughter… thats like… “Doh!”

So next page we might get a car case, or daddy simply continue’s to the hotel and gets a chopper to beat her to the airport and will be waiting there for her.

He seems to me to be the type of guy that gets that kind of things done with so much eas that it’s scarry!

well great page keep it comming.

  53. masterkite Says:

I have a funny feeling his going to get out of the limo, and get on the tour bus for a loooooong talk thats going to take up 2 pages or more.

  54. Bobby Crosby Says:

    Your feeling is incorrect!

  55. Jay Says:

    “Your feeling is incorrect!”

So thus begans the trip to africa im assuming. And they just barely miss each other. Are you gonna say what caused the wreck in the later chapters?

  56. Jay Says:

cause i just noticed the sign exit to aiprort lol nice

  57. Bobby Crosby Says:

“Are you gonna say what caused the wreck in the later chapters?”

    What wreck?

  58. Ghost in the Machine Says:

The wreck Dad causes trying to get to his daughters before they make their escape is my guess.

That said, if they’re off to Africa, what are Guy and Parker going to do about passports and/or visas?

Finally, even if they do have their own private plane, that does not make it a good idea for someone as pregnant as Janny is to fly on it. Whether she does or not is a completely seperate issue.

  59. Jay Says:

“Are you gonna say what caused the wreck in the later chapters?”

Oops sorry late when i wrote it. I meant traffic just assuming it be that :P

  60. Bobby Crosby Says:

There is no wreck. Just a busy street, people going to work, as Guy basically explains by saying it’s 8 AM on a Thursday.

  61. Lunaroki Says:

Okay, I just did a little bit of math. Let’s say we do get Marry Me up to #1 on Wowio for a large enough percentage of the month and keep it up there each month for a while. So according to the deal we get thrice-weekly updates. This comic, as I’ve just learned from reading the comments on this page, is slated to run approximately 80 pages. We’re already on page 43. That means about 37 more pages to go. At 3 updates a week that would take about 12 more weeks to complete. In other words, keeping Marry Me at the top of the charts means we’ll be out of updates in 3 months, 4 if you count the current month to get the ball rolling and incentivise Bobby and Eisu to start crankin’ ‘em out that fast. :(

  62. Bobby Crosby Says:

Just want to point out that the deal is only for guaranteed updates in the month of October, based on MM being #1 the most days in September. I never said anything about that deal continuing for future months. Also, it’s likely the comic will be closer to 90 pages than 80 — we’re not sure yet. Everyone should also keep in mind that only each unique download from each user counts — don’t download the first issue 10 times yourself or anything, as that would have no impact. Just once each.

  63. esc Says:

So, since we now have a day of the week mentioned. We know that Parker didn’t pee for an entire week! o.O Oi! No wonder she had to go so badly… :)

  64. DaxJendo Says:

    Can you say “Bladder Infection”?

  65. Jillster Says:

Just did my part and downloaded “Marry Me” from Wowio. Too cool! I liked seeing in the “extras” how Eisu developed the look of Guy. The creative process in action! Ahhhh!

  66. Bobby Crosby Says:

Hey, Jill, the second issue is now up! Not sure if you saw that yet. Just went up today. Everybody download it now!

    http://www.wowio.com/users/product.asp?BookId=1502

  67. Katie Says:

Downloaded both of them! :) It’s always good to help you guys out. The extras are really flippin’ awesome as well!
Just a note: I really appreciate you both being busy but still having the time for this comic. It’s really great of you both.

  68. Bartimaeus Says:

Woohoo! Downloaded, signed, sealed, and delivered– again!! Thanks for a really great webcomic!

P.S: That sketch that came with the Wowio version of Issue #2, “Parker’s Dream”, says ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING you need to know about Parker. EVERYthing.

  69. Irrevenant Says:

I would download your books in a second if I were in America. :(

  70. blueL Says:

Uuuh. Cannot use wowio just ’cause i’m from europe T.T Saaaaad T.T

  71. Jillster Says:

Bobby — Didn’t see until today that the second volume was available. Have got it now, though!!!!!

  72. Aldones Says:

I downloaded the first book a few days ago, and downloaded the second today.
They are really worth it. On the second book you will get an extra feature with the steps (scratch, pencil, inking etc) of the cover.
And here is a suggestion Bobby. I don’t know if your deal with Wowio allows it, but you could sell your e-books someplace like Lulu.com (mentioning because it is the only one I know). That way, non americans can also get them. You probably can make them relatively cheap there (US$1 ? US$ 2 ?). I’m pretty sure many readers who can’t download from Wowio will thank you for it.

  73. Tamanegi Says:

I really hope there is some kind of way to let us Europeans download it too – the exclusive material must be too good to miss it. The Parker/Stasia-picture alone… ^///^

  74. Bobby Crosby Says:

As I said in the comments for the last page, everyone will have access to all of it eventually, for at least a short while. Not sure when.

  75. Jay Says:

    Just downloaded issue 2 it dropped to 5th though );

  76. Jay Says:

    on the rankings very bad.

  77. Jay Says:

“I downloaded the first book a few days ago, and downloaded the second today.

values marked as 3 when u look in the download email:

    * Marry Me 02
    (sponsored by Verizon Wireless)

The retail value of this book in print is $3

  78. Bobby Crosby Says:

“Just downloaded issue 2 it dropped to 5th though on the rankings very bad.”

    It’s actually second.

  79. Riorozen Says:

This comic is great. How much does it update? I found it a couple days ago, and decided I’d post today.

  80. dragonmage Says:

I have now downloaded both Vol. 1 and 2 and I’m excited to read through them.

  81. Den Says:

I only read about 10 comments per page, but even I’m getting tired of people complaining about updates and now this whining about being first on Wowio. I don’t even understand why people think they have the right to complain to the author for something they aren’t even paying for. Hell I find it a blessing that an author/artist would even bother talking to anonymous internet readers. Many authors/artists wouldn’t grace a bunch of crazy internet stalkers with a comment, much less the frequent replies bobby has been giving.

Anyways, enough ranting from me. This page is another one of my favorites, I love Eisu’s expressions especially for Janny ^^.

“anyone else thought that stasia has grown a mustache in the first panel? :D ” I went back and looked after you said that and I see what you mean. Thats just too funny >.

  82. Riorozen Says:

Whoa, whoa, I’m sorry if I offended. I understand perfectly that the authors have their own lives to go about. I was just wondering if there was any set schedule, ’cause I’m pretty much checking it everyday.

  83. Lunaroki Says:

No set schedule at present, though there is an offer that Bobby and Eisu have extended where if we can keep Marry Me the number one download on Wowio for the month of September they will update the comic every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the entire month of October. Outside of that though, updates are unpredictable, occuring whenever they happen to be ready. Now that my computer is back up and running I’m gonna go do my part and download both books.

  84. nathan Says:

i wish i could download them i can’t’ cus im in Canada i wanna see the parker kissing picture thing could any one send it to me email is nathan_gm70@hotmail.com

  85. Bobby Crosby Says:

Rio: No problem at all — Den wasn’t referring to you. Tons of people have gotten extremely angry at the update schedule. You were simply asking a question because you’re new here. As Lunaroki said, the answer is we don’t know. I haven’t been the best at getting Eisu the pages on time and Eisu’s also been extremely busy with work and his other projects. Lately it’s been about one page per week, as you can see on the calendar and by simply checking the dates of the most recent pages.
