I feel like a total geek right now…I’m trying to figure out which web browser she’s using based off the tabs, and what forum system the Stasia forums use based off their basic look…
I think that it’ll be half-and-half on the people that think her comment is literal vs. the ones that think she’s having sex with Stasia. After all, if Stasia’s crazy enough to get married on a whim, who says she’s not crazy enough to randomly switch teams? Besides, I’m gonna guess that Parker’s love for Stasia is well-known on that site.

It’s definitely a phpBB forum. The browser appears to be a Mozilla variant but I can’t tell which one.

My face twitched when i saw the words “and was stunningly beautiful” (I’m a Wikipedian- use only NPOV statements on WP!)
And I’m surprised that no one else edited the article about Stasia already (yes, people are hawks like that).
And I can only imagine what unintended uncontrollable mess will result from Parker’s curt forum post that doesn’t explain exactly what happened to her fellow posters.

Anyways, to Bobby: this is a great strip, and the detail about the School’s Out Tour really helps to explain Stasia’s costume during the finale. Gotta love consistency. And the WP reference is great, I don’t think I’ve seen a movie yet that does something like that. And nice planning ahead with the 2009 date, although, technically, they could easilly change the year as needs demand.

As others already said, I’m sure people did edit it already, but Parker was adding new info, and yes, she doesn’t follow their guidelines correctly, since she’s insane. I’ve never done anything on Wikipedia, by the way.

Yeah, and the poster on Page 3 helped, and they said it was the final concert of the tour on Page 2.

The year is pretty much irrelevant. Just chose basically the earliest possible date for when a big budget MM could be released, or around that time at least, but it could have easily been 2007 and wouldn’t matter.

Parker is so cool. ^^ All that drama going on around her and she heads for the nearest computer, and, well…
I never really think of her as insane though, cute, obsessive, maybe *slightly* unhinged…and ultimately just fun…and this was a hilarious page.
Also, I think the idea of using a forum post to subtly show the date is a great idea (and a nice variation on other approaches,) would you mind if I used it at some point, Bobby?

So, the slightly sad thing? Everyone’s all “Oh, Parker, she so crazy.” But I am quite obsessed with a pop sensation of my own right now, and am spending tons of time on the forums and people there are not that different from Parker. Like, the pop star just shot a new music video two days ago, and hours after the shoot ended there were photos from the shoot, youtube videos of the shoot, and detailed accounts of such things as what was served for lunch, what the popstar ate, what the popstar left hafway uneaten, and who took those items home.

I always kinda wondered what gets people to post on wikipedia in the first place. If it was just a few devotes directly related to the wikipedia project it would make sense. But the way it is it appears more like a mass phenomenon and that would require that editors get something out of it.
Do they do that just for their ego and _knowing_ that that article is made by them? I mean after all there’s no signature or anything below blocks. I as a reader would never know who wrote it and the change history of wikipedia is only so long.
Apart from that wikipedia truly is the one source for information of that kind.

This is a very entertaining and well-drawn strip!
One question: So Parker posts on 09/09/09 at 09:02pm… seems a little early for the end of a big concert. Did Stasia marry Guy just before intermission? It would certainly complicate the second half of the show, and put that much extra pressure on the lawyers, etc.!

Re: Comicmaniac: security detail is usually from the venue, and not the act itself, so it even makes good sense that she wouldn’t know them. they’re not part of stasia’s crew, they’re part of the venue. (at least, that’s how my experience as a performer and a fan has shown, this is, of course, bobby’s comic)
also: I started the wikipedia entry on Powerman 5000! and that has been the only time i’ve ever added information on wikipedia.
oh wait, no, someome had an album listed as ‘white supremacy’ when it was s’posed to be ’supremacy’ (it’s a small mistake, ya know?) anyway, i ran out of useful points a long time ago.
Still a huge fan of the comic. can’t wait for the next update.

Stasia lives on the west coast and Parker has her Stasia Forums account set to Pacific time because of that, so it’s actually 11:02 PM in Tulsa. On Page 25 we saw Stasia’s dad’s watch, which showed 12:01 (AM), and his watch is on Eastern time, since he lives in New York. Stasia ran out on stage to start the concert at 8:30, got married at 10:25, skipping only one scheduled song.

I think Parker’s wiki post reflects her love of Stasta & desire to record Stastia’s life perfectly And link herself to Stasia on wiki & acknowledge it was her sign–that it was her sign is probably killing her…

In other news, Guy’s name can not only refers to something you call a man, but also wood or wide (http://www.behindthename.com/php/search.php?nmd=n&terms=guy)…parker’s means “keeper of the park” in Old French…also I looked up Stasia on the same site (not that I think it is her real name) and the two nost simuliar names (Stasya & Stacia) both refer to anastasia, refering to anastasius which means “resurrection”…not that I think the names have a hidden meaning–just interesting…
